The sheep are sheared twice a year. Then it's washed and carded by the women. It is threaded and dyed with natural colorants such as cochineal, walnut tree bark and local flowers. The wool is threaded on the pedal looms and then weaving commences, a process which can take anywhere between one day and a whole month, depending on the design.
